    The Marist RedHawk Kiddie camp will cover the basic fundamentals of throwing, fielding, hitting, pitching, catching, and base running. The campers will have small group instruction lead by the Varsity coaching staff and players. Campers will participate in various sport-related games and competitions and will have a good time learning more about the game of softball. Please bring a glove, spikes, bat, and water. All campers will receive a RedHawk Softball t-shirt.

    This camp will be a concentration on all areas of infield play.  Camp is for students entering 4th grade through incoming freshman in the fall of 2020.   Camp will be run by varsity head coach Kevin Sefcik along with current Marist players.  This will be a very good camp to get a lot of reps in all areas of infield play.  The Marist baseball program has been on a great run over the last 5 years including 4 regional championships and 1 sectional championship.  Since coach Sefcik’s first year in 2015 30 of his players have gone on to play in college and 2 players were Major League draft picks in 2019.  Players only need to bring their glove to this camp.  Clothing should be baseball attire (shorts are ok) along with baseball spikes.  Camp will take place on the Marist baseball fields on the west side of campus.  Players should check in on day 1 by the Marist main gym before going to baseball fields.   After the first day students can report directly to the baseball field.   Any questions about the camp can be addressed to Sefcik.kevin@marist.net

    The Marist High School Football program has qualified for the playoffs 7 out of the last 8 seasons.  In 2008 and 2007 the team reached the State Quarterfinals and in 2014 the team reached the State Semi-finals.  In 2009 and 2015 the team played in the Class 8A State Championship.

  • SESSION 18 - BOYS LACROSSE CAMP - 5TH-7TH GRADE

    Officially an IHSA sport in 2018, lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the Midwest.  Athletes of all sorts including football, basketball, soccer, and hockey players make the transition to lacrosse in the spring throughout the area.  Marist High School head coach and former collegiate standout, Chaas Collins and members of the his staff, will work alongside players to improve fundamental techniques and develop advanced lacrosse skill sets.  Players looking to excel at the next level will work on individual skills in small competitive groups, and large group game situations.  All phases of the game will be addressed during the camp, and players will feel more confident in their improved knowledge of the game and individual skills.

    Camp is open to all skill level and positions.  Campers should bring their own sticks, helmets, gloves, shoulder and arm pads, and mouth guards.

    The camp will focus on the basics of pole vault. The athletes will be introduced to the basic skills of the pole vault: how to hold the pole, run with the pole, planting the pole, and jumping in the pit. All athletes will begin by learning the basics and will progress to jumping in the sand and ultimately the pit. The goal is to teach everyone how to “Jump High.” This will allow athletes of all levels to have a basic understanding of the sport and be ready to jump when entering high school as freshmen. All athletes will be coached by Certified Pole Vaulting Coach, Rich Karnia, who has coached state qualifiers in 2008, 2010-14.  Former athletes have jumped 11'6 (girls) and 13'0 (boys).
